ALBUQUERQUE NM
In Albuquerque NM, several sport venues are within walking distance of each other. On the southeast corner of the intersection of Avenida Cesar Chavez and University Boulevard are the University of New Mexico Lobo's football stadium and soccer stadium (NCAA finalists in 2006). The southwest corner has the basketball arena, "The Pit," home of the NCAA Final Four in 1983 when Jim Valvano's North Carolina State beat Phi Slamma Jamma of Houston University. On the northeast corner is Isotopes Park, home of the UNM Lobos and the Albuquerque Isotopes, AAA affiliate of the Florida Marlins.
