1st NCAA BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

ON THE LEFT IS IS A POSTCARD OF PATTEN GYMNASIUM AT NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY IN EVANSTON ILLINOIS. THE GYM WAS TORN DOWN IN 1940. WIKIPEDIA STATES THAT THIS WAS THE HOME OF THE FIRST NCAA BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP IN 1939. OREGON BEAT OHIO STATE 46-33. ON THE RIGHT IS A PHOTO FROM WIKIPEDIA OF SAN ANTONIO'S ALAMODOME, HOME OF THE 2008 NCAA BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP.

The postcard of the old gym is one I have in my collection of sports postcards. The photo of the Alamodome was found on wikipedia.com. I discovered the location of the first NCAA championship when I was researching my postcard.
